RULES OF THUMB FOR THE WHOLE BODY APPLICATICATION
(MAT)
The more tired, the thinner, the more nervous
the lower the intensity.
The younger, the more athletic, the more urgent the case, the better balanced, the more corpulent the person
the higher the intensity.
GENERAL RULE
Morning – higher intensities, noon – somewhat lower intensities, evening – lowest intensities.
RULES OF THUMB FOR LOCAL APPLICATION
PAD or PILLOW
The further away from the torso, the deeper in the body, the more acute the pain – the higher the intensity.
(Visual aid about local application intensity recommendations in next page)
PROBE
The probe is useful in providing a more intense and powerful wave form to smaller areas of the body; for example to target trigger points, small joints of the hand and feed, sinuses, eyes, ears and TMJ (jaw joint). The probe is also used for acupuncture and reflexology.
NOTE: Every person has his or her own individuality. This personal uniqueness should be taken into consideration during therapy. To prevent first reaction (primary immune responses), begin with low dosages and increase them progressively at lengthy intervals until the desired maximum therapeutic dose is reached
MAT: One intensity level every 3 to 4 weeks, beginning at 10% (men 25%)
PAD: One intensity level every 4 days, beginning between 25% and 50%
PROBE Same as pillow, however when treating an acute situation, immediately HIGH
The most helpful indicator of intensity accuracy is applied kinesiology.
If available, also the iMORE (biofeedback finger sensor), signaling the heart rate variability, adjusting intensities
HINTS for NIGHT SHIFT (IMPORTANT)
Even if the sleep cycle is changed by working at night shift, the body will still respond best to the program corresponding to the actual time of the day. Therefore, a night worker should select the appropriate program based on the real time of day when using an MRS device which offers the Chinese Organ Clock. One can use higher intensity than normally used at night time to achieve a more enhanced circulation and energy production.
