Magnetic Field Therapy and Dizziness

The most common complaint of patients seeking treatment in my practice is dizziness.  20 to 30% of all adults suffer from some type of vertigo or have experienced vertigo attacks, varying in intensity. Vertigo is defined as an unpleasant sensation, experienced as an apparent movement of one’s surrounding or self. This is caused by a disturbance of gravity perception and body space orientation. People describe dizziness in many different ways or sensations. Therefore the therapist needs to listen carefully how the patient perceives or experiences vertigo. Movement of the surrounding, unsteadiness in walking, consciousness disturbance, maybe associated with visual impairment or a feeling of environmental rotation. In addition, changing body or head position while resting could affect existing dizziness. The therapist should also inquire about tinnitus, headaches or nausea and possible intake of medication. We also need to find out about accident injuries, even occurred way back, or unfavorably working conditions. It should further be clarified whether there are complications in the spine.

Three sensory systems working hand in hand

For perfect spatial orientation the following sensory systems have to work together properly:   Eyes, sense of balance (equilibrium) and depth perception. If only one of these senses is disturbed or receives wrong information, dizziness occurs.

Dizziness caused by sudden loss of hearing

I would like to comment on the condition of a patient (83 year old female) who had to be hospitalized due to a sudden hearing loss in her right ear. Sudden hearing loss can occur out of the blue, usually affecting one ear which, in extreme cases, could lead to complete deafness. Quite often this acute event – considered an emergency in otolaryngology –   is accompanied by varying ringing in the ear, however is seldom followed by vertigo……….

The author continued to share different types of therapies which were administered over a period of time with little to no improvement of the ear problems which eventually caused dizziness as well. The article then proceeds:

Further examinations revealed severe movement restriction in the area of the cervical spine as well as points of pain in back and chest muscles. Because of these findings I started to apply gentle chiropractic adjustments and recommended daily use of magnetic field therapy.  We used the whole body application, followed by local application (pillow in the cervical region and probe to treat the ear, targeting acupuncture points).

Recurrence of old symptoms

After experiencing slight improvement the first three to four days, the patient’s condition suddenly deteriorated. Dizziness and malaise worsened significantly, causing noticeable impairment. I then reduced the intensity on the MRS, however with no positive result. After 14 days, my patient decided to stop the treatment, especially since she experienced additional past problems. Inquiring about these old problems, I learned that my patient had suffered from severe complications in the lumbar spine a long time ago, but had been symptom free since years. Now the pain recurred.  At this moment I understood her entire dilemma and immediately placed the pillow at the lumbar spine. Already the next day, my patient appeared completely changed and vibrant, with hardly any dizziness. We continued magnetic resonance stimulation, treating the lumbar spine with the pillow, followed by two gentle chiropractic adjustments. Within one month, the patient was completely free of all previous symptoms and is still healthy today.

Learning from this case

This example clearly illustrates not only the importance to investigate long passed (dormant) health complications, but it further proves that magnetic resonance stimulation can activate – as experienced in homeopathy –  dormant health problems which can then lead to improvement of  complications which followed the original health challenge.
