In the article, “NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT”, by Bryan Walsh, it is mentioned that global warming is making seasonal allergies worse than ever. Turns out, some of the best weapons against this itchy future may be ancient ones.

40% of Americans suffer from seasonal allergies, spending more than $30 billion each year on allergy and asthma care. On the day the antihistamine Allegra became available over the counter in 2012, manufacturers shipped more than 8 million pills. And now we can’t even predict when hay fever and its vexing relatives will come knocking. Something that is so common, so annoying, and so unpredictable is bound to have desperate victims seeking relief wherever they can find it. In fact, allergy sufferers have been quick to turn to alternative medicine options in significant numbers: one in four according to a 2011 study. But the question, as always, is: Are any of those treatments more than false hope? Some are not, particularly if that answer includes “butterbur”. Butterbur is a herb whose roots were made into a remedy for headaches and inflammation by Native Americans. Today you can buy tablets of it over the counter. In a 2002 study published in the British Medical Journal, Swiss researches showed that one tablet taken four times daily can be as effective as the popular antihistamine cetrizine (brand name: Zyrtec) in controlling symptoms of hay fever without drowsiness that’s often associated with traditional allergy medicine.

Allergy is understood to be an unusual sensitivity reaction of the immune system (overactive) to a certain substance from the environment. Please do not confuse overactive immune system with a derailed immune system, which causes autoimmune diseases. In case of allergy, if this essentially harmless foreign substance enters the body, antibodies are formed, resulting in an intense inappropriate reaction to this substance. People who have a tendency to develop allergies are called atopic. An allergy may be as mild that it is hardly perceived or as severe that it makes life miserable. Symptoms include itching, watery eyes, a runny nose, itching or inflamed skin, a swollen mouth or throat, sometimes headaches and sinus problems. Allergens are also ingested by drinking or eating. A food allergy often occurs in children, for instance consuming eggs, certain types of fish, peanuts, chocolate, strawberries and citrus fruit. Symptoms include intestinal cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion or skin rash.

If allergens cannot be avoided, there are two treatment options: Conventional (medication and injection of small allergens quantities over a period of time) and or adding alternative remedies. Incorporating magnetic resonance stimulation (MRS) as a supportive measure has proven very beneficial in battling allergic reactions.

MRS effect on allergy:

Calming the autonomic nervous system and thus indirectly calming and regulating the immune system. The resonance effects are primarily responsible for the success of this treatment.

Important: The more acidic the acid-base balance, the worse the body’s reactivity (diet needs to be adjusted accordingly).  Notes on initial reaction:  Skin reactions may be exacerbated in some cases, but will disappear by adjusting the MRS dose.   However, it is also known that MRS is beneficial to remove the cause of pH imbalance, limiting first MRS reactions altogether.

During hay fever time, you may apply the mat 3-4 times a day
16 minutes each time

100% in the morning (gradually increasing from 10%)
50% at noon
25% in the afternoon
10% in the evening

My own testimonial:

Living in Denver,  I was tested allergic to 56 allergens mostly growing in Colorado. To make things worse, the state’s dry weather conditions added to my problem, even though 360 days of sunshine could be considered as “life quality”. Returning to Munich for five years, which included being introduced to magnetic resonance stimulation (MRS) solved my allergy problem coming back to Denver.  Needless to say, I am a happy MRS user who not only conquered allergy, but several other bodily irregularities by simply trusting in the gentle force of nature.
