Lyme’s Disease Testimonial
Gill Wilson’s personal experience of using MRS2000 June – October 2011/ iMRS October 2011 to date.
It is extremely difficult to summarise an illness in a nut shell that could literally fill a skyscraper! An illness, which had so many symptoms has dominated and restricted every aspect of my life for over 18 years, several of those years completely debilitated and unable to work. However, the reason I have become a Health Technician for Mediconsult is because of my enthusiasm for using the MRS2000 and latterly the iMRS which for me, has been quite literally life changing!
My eventual full diagnosis upon visiting a specialist clinic the US in 2008 was Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Hormonal imbalances and Chronic Lyme’s Disease with the Co Infection Babesia. I had set up and run an international recruitment business but had to continually retract activities due to a mystery illness contracted overseas in the mid 90’s.Eventually I could only continue working by working from a home office. Major surgery in 2006 flared up the condition to a severe and debilitating level again and a year off work followed with the eventual diagnosis of ME/ CFS but no treatment offered. A few months back at work in 2007 and one overseas trip flared the condition up again and this time to debilitation levels that are difficult to describe that lasted years. Most of my time was spent in bed or at home resting and simple daily tasks became mountains to climb.
Despite almost three years of intensive treatment by a wonderful specialist Doctor at the US clinic, following every medical protocol for each condition, we could not get the illness into remission and in June 2012 we had to stop the intensive medical treatments. The hormonal aspects were and continue to be well treated. However the Lyme’s Disease and its continuing effect on the body, particularly my spine/ nervous system seemed to be the major problem.
In June 2011 I was introduced by a friend to the original MRS 2000 and then the advanced technology of the new generation of iMRS when the new system was launched. At that time my health was still inconsistent, continuing fevers, chronic nerve pain particularly, back of head, shoulders and top of spine. I had very poor memory, concentration and poor cognitive processing. I was noise, light and motion sensitive so attending church and a rare concert was a complete nightmare. Poor stamina and the requirement to sleep for hours due to going out for the day, coupled with continual relapses meant an inability to plan even a few days in advance. One good week did not guarantee the next would be the same. Returning to work was not even something I could think of. Within 2 weeks of using the MRS 2000 at the “sensitive” setting 3 times a day for 8 minutes the improvement in nerve pain was incredible, within 4 weeks my brain started to return to normal and within 6 months is back to how it used to be before I was got 18 years ago. After 3-4 months we had the best holiday in the USA full with activities day in and day out with minimal episodes. After 6 months I have returned to work and am living life to the full which I have not experienced for 18 years. Now I have NO pain anywhere in my body. I am also back at the gym working out with a flexibility that would shock my old personal trainer. My fevers and daily sweats have gone and this winter heating and heated seats have replaced the air-conditioning that I always had to have on in the car even in the winter! The iMRS and IMORE technology has played a very important part in my own recovery from years of debilitation and hence I am happy to share with you the benefits I have found to my overall wellbeing using this incredible technology.
